- (NEW) Eastwind School’s Executive Director has a new affiliation with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics that allows top students the opportunity to be placed directly into a paying job at the hospital as an independent contractor with steady income. (This means, if you want to stay in the area, and do well in school, you will have an opportuity for a paying job right after you get your license, creating income security for yourself!) No more worrying about paying your student loan or bills.

You will have the practical experience to obtain employment as a massage therapist in a number of healthcare settings, including medical and rehabilitation clinics, hospitals, doctor’s and chiropractor’s offices. Opportunities also exist in the health spas, hotels, fitness centers, sports organizations, tourist destinations and cruise ships. There is also the possibility of going into private practice as well. We are always getting requests for massage therapists, which offers lots of opportunity to find work in the area once you have graduated. The average charge for a massage in the area is $55.00-$80.00/hour.
